あの本当に恐ろしい東日本大震災から2ヶ月が経過した頃、
MLB テキサスレンジャースのエースとして活躍する”C.J.ウィルソン投手”より、
被災地の野球少年に何か支援を行いたいとのお申し出がありました。
この事は驚きを持って迎えられると同時に、震災後、大会が次々と中止・延期
となる中で、みんなに勇気と希望を与える大変明るい出来事でした。
先行して送られてきた練習球やグローブなど、たくさんの支援に加え、遂に
先日、レンジャースのチームカラーである真っ赤なTシャツが届きました。
このTシャツは、C.J.ウィルソン投手からの直筆のメッセージが込められ、
仙台ボーイズのロゴも入った特別バージョンのものです。
早速、みんなで着て記念撮影を行いました。
When two months have elapsed since the catastrophic earthquake, C. J. Wilson the Major League Baseball ace pitcher for the Texas Rangers has offered a support for baseball kids in the devastated area.
Baseball events have been canceled or postponed after the earthquake, your offer has provided us not only amazement, but also hope and courage.
The other day, we have received special red T-shirts with autograph message from you and the logotype of the Sendai Boys, as well as practice balls and gloves that we have received previously.
We took a commemorative pictures in the T-shirt.
